Tests on skull fragment cast doubt on Hitler suicide legend.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/sep/27/adolf-hitler-suicide-skull-fragment?71

Sixty-four years later, the world is still in the dark about what really happened in Hitler's bunker on April 30, 1945. And it appears that, just as with the JFK assassination, the Soviets are in the middle of it, as they hid what are claimed to be Hitler's bones, supposedly found burned outside his Berlin bunker, from the Allies until 2000.

Afgan war, what war?

Quagmire is just another word for a war that no one can remember how it started and why we are still fighting.

Gore-backed electric car company gets $529M US govt. loan.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125383160812639013.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_MIDDLTopStories

Why a tiny car company backed by former Vice President Al Gore and his new Kleiner Perkins venture partners merit a $529 million taxpayer-funded loan to build a hybrid sports car -- in Finland of all places -- that will sell for about $89,000 is simply beyond me. This is not about stimulus, investment or energy efficiency in the slightest.

Karl Rove on Obama and the "pemanent campaign."

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB20001424052970203863204574346512956227346.html

Team Obama is suffering from Extended Campaign Syndrome. In an election, campaign staffers are often just trying to survive until the next week or the next primary. They cut corners because they are fatigued or under pressure. They can be purposely combative and even portray critics as enemies.

Carrying this mindset into the White House can get you into trouble, a lesson the Obama administration is now learning the hard way.

Obama's "Tone-Deaf" Health Reform Campaign

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB20001424052970204251404574342653428074782.html

Yes, the politics is tremendously polarized and the right is not fighting fairly. But replies of Naziism don't help the liberals and, as the numbers show, biting off big issues is having the expected effect on Obama's approval ratings.  As Dorothy Rabinowitz wrtites in the Wall Street Journal:

It didn’t take chaotic town-hall meetings, raging demonstrators and consequent brooding in various sectors of the media to bring home the truth that the campaign for a health-care bill is, to put it mildly, not going awfully well. It’s not hard now to envision the state of this crusade with just a month or two more of diligent management by the Obama team—think train wreck. It may one day be otherwise in the more perfect world of universal coverage, but for now disabilities like the tone deafness that afflicts this administration from the top down are uninsurable

And global geopolitics will remain unchanged no matter what. Sad but true. The demonstrators are on their own and it seems a vicious crack-down is coming soon.
